Fake Korea jobs recruiter collared

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested a woman during an entrapment operation for allegedly offering fake jobs to applicants.

The NBI said the suspect promised victims jobs as farm workers in South Korea with monthly salaries ranging from P80,000 to P90,000.

Authorities said the victims had already paid between P60,000 and P150,000 for supposed medical examinations and visa processing.

The suspect now faces charges of large-scale illegal recruitment and estafa.
