Delta Air Lines opens nonstop Manila-LA route

Passengers traveling between the Philippines and the United States will soon have a new nonstop option after Delta Air Lines announced it will launch direct flights between Manila and Los Angeles beginning in March 2027.

The US carrier said over the weekend that it will start operating the route three times a week beginning 28 March from Los Angeles and 30 March from Manila, before increasing the service to daily flights starting 7 June 2027.

“We look forward to welcoming customers in the Philippines on board for Delta’s nonstop service to the US,” said Jeff Moomaw, Delta’s vice president for Asia Pacific.

“As we continue growing across the Asia Pacific region, Manila represents an exciting opportunity to introduce more travelers to Delta’s premium experience while expanding access to our global network.”

The new route will make Delta the only US airline offering nonstop service between Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, expanding travel options for passengers while adding the Philippines to the airline’s global network.

Flights will be operated using Delta’s Airbus A350-900, which offers four cabin classes: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main.

Passengers across all cabins will have access to seatback entertainment, onboard amenities, and fast, free WiFi for SkyMiles members, which Delta said will be available on its trans-Pacific routes starting this fall.

Delta One passengers will have flat-bed seats with sliding doors, while Delta Premium Select offers wider seats with deeper recline and upgraded amenities.
