AI-powered platform fuels Newport’s online gaming push

PhilWeb Corp. is expanding its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered gaming technology business after launching an online gaming platform for Newport World Resorts (NWR), supporting the integrated resort’s push into the country’s regulated digital gaming market.

The company said over the weekend that it has commercially launched NWR Play, in partnership with Travellers International Hotel Group Inc., enabling NWR to extend its gaming operations beyond its physical casino through a regulated online platform.

NWR Play is powered by PhilWeb’s Online Gaming Platform (OGP), which integrates gaming content, cloud-based infrastructure, platform operations, customer support, and regulatory compliance tools into a single operating environment.

“The official launch of NWR Play demonstrates our capability to execute and deploy end-to-end digital infrastructure for the industry’s most recognized luxury integrated resort brands. Backed by our recent strategic capitalization, our expanded AI capabilities allow us to deliver a highly secure, data-driven platform that perfectly aligns with the premium standards of the Newport World Resorts brand,” PhilWeb president Brian Ng said.

The platform is supported by an artificial intelligence-enabled technology layer designed to strengthen real-time operational monitoring, fraud detection, risk management, compliance support, customer service, and platform performance, while helping operators improve customer acquisition and retention.

Meanwhile, Newport World Resorts said its pivot to digital gaming complements its land-based gaming business.

The launch expands PhilWeb’s roster of regulated gaming technology partners, which includes Okada Manila, Hann Casino Resort, NUSTAR Resort and Casino, FBM Philippines and PT Gaming.
