Bacoor bands perform at French Music Festival

BACOOR CITY -- Two musical groups from Bacoor are representing the Philippines at the Bandafolie's Festival in Bessines-sur-Gartempe, France, city officials said.

The El Gobernador Band and the United Musicians of Bacoor were selected to perform at the international gathering, which brings together brass and marching bands from around the world for cultural exchanges and performances.

Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla praised the musicians for showcasing the city's identity as the country's marching band capital.

"We are proud of our musicians for carrying the name of Bacoor and the Philippines on the international stage," Revilla said. "Their dedication, discipline, and talent reflect the rich musical heritage of our city and the excellence of Filipino artistry."

Revilla added that participating in international cultural events helps promote the city's tourism and creates opportunities for future global partnerships.
