Malaysia will host the 4th ASEAN Battery Technology Conference (ABTC 2026) from 19 to 21 August in Sepang, gathering policymakers, manufacturers, investors and researchers to accelerate the region’s battery industry.

Organized by NanoMalaysia Berhad, the conference will focus on strengthening ASEAN’s battery value chain as demand for electric vehicles, renewable energy storage and battery technologies continues to grow.

This year’s event will highlight battery manufacturing, safety standards, investment opportunities, supply chain development, recycling and emerging technologies. Experts from industry, government and academia across Southeast Asia and beyond are expected to participate.

Malaysia will also witness the signing of several strategic partnerships involving battery manufacturing, energy storage, technology transfer and electric mobility, reinforcing its ambition to become a regional hub for battery innovation.

Building on previous editions in Bali, Singapore and Phuket, ABTC 2026 aims to strengthen ASEAN’s competitiveness in the global battery industry through collaboration, investment and industrial development.
