The Pitt led the 2026 Emmy Awards nominations with 16 nods, the highest among all programs this year.

The HBO Max medical drama received a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series, along with multiple acting, writing, and directing nominations, solidifying its place as one of television's biggest breakout hits.

Much of the series' success comes from its ensemble cast, with several performers receiving Emmy recognition for the first time. Patrick Ball, Gerran Howell, Taylor Dearden, Fiona Dourif, Katherine LaNasa and Sepideh Moafi all landed breakthrough acting nominations for their performances in the acclaimed hospital drama.

Pluribus followed with 10 nominations, while DTF St. Louis, Hacks and Widow's Bay earned nine each. The nominations also recognized a new generation of television stars, including Chase Infiniti, Elle Fanning, Sarah Pidgeon, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Kristen Kish, who now join Emmy veterans such as Jean Smart, Gary Oldman, Quinta Brunson, Keri Russell, Zendaya, Martin Short and Harrison Ford in the race for television's highest honors.
