Boston reloads with Paul George

The Boston Celtics have retooled their roster for another title run, acquiring Paul George from the Philadelphia 76erswhile adding veteran guard Mike Conley and center Mitchell Robinson in free agency.

George, a nine-time NBA All-Star, will once again wear his signature No. 13 in Boston after the deal that sent Jaylen Brown to Philadelphia.

Along with George, the Celtics also received significant draft compensation from the 76ers, including:

• A conditional 2028 first-round pick tied to the LA Clippers

• Philadelphia's unprotected 2031 first-round pick

• The most favorable 2028 second-round pick among Golden State, Milwaukee, and Oklahoma City

• The most favorable 2030 second-round pick among Phoenix, Portland, and Washington

Boston also bolstered its backcourt by signing Mike Conley to a one-year deal.

The 38-year-old becomes just the 14th player in NBA history to reach a 20th season. Drafted in 2007, Conley joins fellow active members of his draft class Kevin Durant, Al Horford, and Jeff Green in reaching the milestone.

Conley played a key role for the Minnesota Timberwolves during last season's playoffs after returning to the starting lineup following injuries to younger guards.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Robinson signed a three-year, $47.4 million contract after helping the New York Knicks win the NBA championship.

With George, Conley and Robinson joining the fold, Boston has significantly strengthened its roster as it chases another NBA title.
