The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Thursday that a low pressure area (LPA) being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
In its 8 p.m. weather advisory on 4 June, PAGASA identified the weather disturbance as LPA 06a. The agency said the system remains outside PAR but continues to be closely monitored for possible intensification.
