The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said runway operations at Busuanga Airport have returned to normal following an aircraft incident on Thursday.

In a statement, CAAP said landing and takeoff operations were temporarily suspended after an aircraft crash-landed at the end of Runway 08 at around 11:34 a.m. on 2 April.

Several flights were diverted due to the temporary unavailability of the airport fire truck:

• 5J 6035 – diverted to Clark
• PR 2664 – diverted to Mactan
• PR 2681 – diverted to Clark
