The Makati Business Club (MBC) has designated Deputy Executive Director Michelle L. Dee as officer-in-charge as it prepares for a leadership transition following the resignation of its top official.
Executive Director Rafael “Apa” Ongpin will step down effective 30 April 2026, the group announced, with his terminal leave running throughout April.
In the interim, Dee will oversee day-to-day operations while the MBC Board of Trustees carries out succession plans aimed at ensuring continuity.
The organization acknowledged Ongpin’s contributions during his tenure, citing his role in advancing MBC’s mission and strengthening collaboration with members and partners on key economic and business issues.
