One of the suspects in the P3,296,500.00 robbery at Barangay Turo in the town of Bocaue was arrested by authorities in Tanay, Rizal on 28 February 2026.
According to the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO), the combined forces of the Bocaue Municipal Police Station and the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit arrested the suspect during a follow up operation that led them to Tanay, Rizal.
The Bulacan PPO stated that on February 25, 2026, four armed men wearing black jackets and masks forcibly entered and trained their guns at the victim, taking all the jewels and cell phones worth P3.2-million at Villa Zaragoza, Brgy. Turo, Bocaue.
The four armed men fled the scene using a sedan. Operatives of the Bocaue MPS conducted an investigation and coordination with the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit. During the investigation, the police identified the getaway vehicle as a white Honda City with plate number ABT-5774.
During continuous investigations and coordination with other law enforcers, police found out that the vehicle was involved in various robbery incidents in Parañaque and nearby areas, and is connected to the Rizal criminal group.
During a follow up operation and tracing, two of the suspects were identified thru fellow residents of Tanay, Rizal, who were positively identified by the victim.
Thru an intelligence-driven operation on February 28, 2026, the operatives talked to one of the suspects after posting on social media regarding a missing plate number of a vehicle.
The operatives pretended to be the ones who found the missing plate to meet up with the suspects at the Tanay Municipal Police Station. At the said area, one of the witnesses positively identified the man as one of the involved in the robbery. A hot pursuit ensued that led to his arrest.
After proper documentation, the suspect was taken to the Bocaue MPS along with the white Honda City used in the crime for further investigation.
The primary victim then positively identified the suspect as one of the armed men. Thru further investigation, one of the suspects was positively identified from photos and testimonies of the victims.
Charges against the suspects are now filed at the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Malolos City on February 28, 2026 at naitala sa ilalim ng NPS No. III-04-PE/INQ-26B-00382.
