A new name, a nostalgic tribute and a night dominated by Sinners made Hollywood’s biggest celebration of performers one to remember.
The 32nd annual ceremony — newly rebranded as the Actor Awards — unfolded in Los Angeles with music, emotion and plenty of standout victories.
Hosted by Kristen Bell, the show streamed live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall on 1 March. The event marked the first time the honors were presented under the simplified “Actor Awards” title, a shift organizers say better reflects the show’s mission: spotlighting achievements in film and television performance.
Sinners once again proved its power, emerging as the night’s heavyweight, capturing the top ensemble honor in film along with a leading actor win for Michael B. Jordan.
One of the evening’s most heartfelt moments belonged to Harrison Ford, who received the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award. The tribute, delivered by Woody Harrelson, celebrated Ford’s decades-spanning career and placed him among an elite group of past honorees that includes Jane Fonda, Sally Field, Barbra Streisand, Helen Mirren, Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman.
