Dulaang UP opens ticket sales for 'Ang Kaliitan ng Kasalukuyan'

DT

Dulaang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas (Dulaang UP) has opened ticket sales for its upcoming production, Ang Kaliitan ng Kasalukuyan, written and directed by multi-awarded playwright Arlo Deguzman. The play closes the company’s 48th Theatre Season, Paano umuwi nang may pagpapasya?, and centers on the experiences of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), reflecting the challenges and emotional struggles of families separated by migration.

Drawing on Deguzman’s own 15-year experience working abroad, the production explores themes of longing, sacrifice, and family through movement, puppetry, and lyric storytelling. The cast and crew include former and aspiring OFWs, bringing authenticity to the portrayal of migrant life.

Ang Kaliitan ng Kasalukuyan runs from 12 March to 29 March 2026 at the IBG-KAL Theater, UP Diliman, with shows on Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online via https://bit.ly/AngKaliitanNgKasalukuyan2026 or for direct purchase through https://bit.ly/AKKDirectPurchaseForm with the following prices:
