The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and local government units (LGUs) here signed a convergence Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the Provincial Capitol on 24 February 2026, providing greater accessibility to services for overseas Filipino workers in the Province of Aurora.

The agreement was made in collaboration with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

It aims to create a one-stop shop for migrant workers, providing a venue to deliver all services directly to the people of Aurora. The collaboration among government agencies seeks to fight illegal recruitment and prevent human trafficking.

The signing of the MOA for the Converge on Programs and Services for Overseas Filipino Workers was also conducted between the Provincial Government and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO-Aurora).

The agreement is part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s thrust to ensure faster and more efficient delivery of services to OFWs and their families in Aurora.

According to Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, the agency aims to implement the President’s directive to bring programs and services closer to the OFWs of Aurora and address their needs.

Governor Isidro P. Galban shared his experience working as an OFW and said he is very elated that the government is providing these services today.

“Talagang kanya kanya tayong sipag at tiyaga kung papaano natin ililigtas at pagpupunyagihin ang ating mga pangarap na lumakad ka kung gusto mo, pumunta ka kung saan mo gusto. At ako po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sapagkat ang pagtitipon po natin ngayon ay isang pagsasama ng serbisyo ng ating migrant workers,” he added.

The group also inaugurated the Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office 3, Aurora Provincial Office.
