Palace press officer and Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro again lashed out at Vice President Sara Duterte, responding to her recent remarks that governance in the country is “not in order.”
In a weekend interview, Duterte said government operations appear disorganized and claimed that not all Cabinet secretaries are competent and are not being properly guided by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
So iyon ang na-disappoint ako. Wala, walang ganoon na nangyari,” Duterte said.
Asked for her reaction, Castro replied sarcastically: “Let us look at who’s talking.”
Castro also acknowledged that not all Cabinet secretaries are necessarily excellent, saying some are appointed based on the President’s trust and confidence.
She then cited the controversies that hounded Duterte during her stint as Education secretary.
