BDO Unibank is rolling out additional savings for its credit cardholders during SM’s three-day sale from 27 February to 1 March, offering shoppers a chance to stretch their budgets amid rising household expenses.
Under the promo, BDO cardholders may receive up to P1,000 in extra discounts at SM Store and participating SM Retail outlets in select malls nationwide.
A P1,000 discount will be granted for a minimum P10,000 purchase under the Buy Now, Pay Later option, while a P500 discount applies to a minimum straight purchase of P5,000.
Added flexibility for larger purchases
For families planning larger purchases — such as appliances, gadgets or bulk essentials — the Buy Now, Pay Later feature provides added flexibility, with the first installment billed on the next statement from the transaction date.
Major sale events typically drive higher mall traffic, and partnerships between banks and retailers have become a strategic tool to stimulate consumer spending. By layering card-based incentives on top of in-store discounts, financial institutions are positioning digital payments as both convenient and cost-efficient.
The promotion will run in Metro Manila at SM Bicutan, SM Sta. Mesa, SM Taytay and The Podium; in Luzon at SM Marilao, SM Rosario and SM Dagupan; and in the Visayas at SM Bacolod.
