Cignal regained its bearing from a previous setback with a dominating sweep of erstwhile unbeaten PLDT, 25-21, 25-19, 25-23, to take the solo lead in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Erika Santos and Vanie Gandler took charge in the bounce back victory for the Super Spikers’ fourth win in five outings to climb back on top.

Santos scored 16 of her 17 points from attacks while Gandler added 14 markers and eight excellent receptions for Cignal, which rebounded from a straight sets loss to Nxled on Valentine’s Day.

“Very happy and proud because the players gave tremendous effort in our recovery and preparation for the past 10 or nine days. The way they played was a sign or their eagerness to win,” Super Spikers coach Shaq Delos Santos said.

PLDT’s defeat not only halted its three-game romp but also ended the race for an outright semifinals seat for the team that will complete an elimination round sweep.

Savi Davison paced the High Speed Hitters with 14 points and Kim Kianna Dy had 11.
