One Battle After Another dominated the 2026 BAFTA Awards, taking home seven trophies including Best Film and solidifying its status as the season’s biggest contender.
The epic drama also earned Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson — his first BAFTA for directing — along with Best Adapted Screenplay. Sean Penn won Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film, marking his first BAFTA victory.
It was likewise a breakthrough night for Robert Aramayo, who claimed Best Actor for I Swear and the EE Rising Star Award. First-time winners included Wunmi Mosaku (Best Supporting Actress for Sinners) and Jessie Buckley (Best Actress for Hamnet).
Beyond the major prizes, One Battle After Another underscored its across-the-board strength with wins in Casting, Cinematography and Editing.
