Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala is celebrating his 30th birthday on 23 February, but he has already been attending parties held in his honor — much to the consternation of some of his constituents.
Alcala will definitely take a birthday leave, as he planned his celebration well ahead of time. Of course, his rumored girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo, will be his special guest.
Netizens on social media speculate that Alcala will make a very special announcement on his birthday.
Will he finally declare that he and Bernardo are now a couple?
Or will he announce that they are about to get married soon after their meet-the-parents Valentine’s celebration?
Celebrities back up Coco Martin over bit player’s abuse claim
When Rod Navarro Jr. blasted Coco Martin over the actor’s alleged bad treatment of him on the set of Batang Quiapo, several personalities came to the Kapamilya action star’s defense.
Rod Navarro Jr., son of the late veteran actor Rod Navarro, made a denigrating claim against Martin in a Facebook post. He reacted to Martin’s statement that he was disappointed after helping an actor get included in his show and even promising him financial assistance.
“Hindi ka totoo. Maling-mali kwento mo. ‘Di maganda pananalita mo kaya ‘di ako tumanggap ng tulong mula sa’yo dahil ang sabi mo, isang pagkakamali ko lang eh tanggal ako at kapag ‘di ko napalago eh wag na tayo mag-usap. May mura pa na kasama ang banta (You are not truthful. Your story is completely wrong. Your words were not good, which is why I did not accept help from you because you said that with just one mistake I would be removed, and if I don’t grow the capital, we should no longer talk. The threat even came with curses),” Navarro wrote in his Facebook post.
McCoy de Leon showed his support for Martin.
“Nakakalungkot lang isipin na tumulong ka na, sa huli ikaw pa ang magiging masama (It’s saddening to think that you already helped, but in the end you’re still the bad one),” he wrote on his Facebook account.
Ogie Diaz shared on Facebook that Navarro had messaged him asking for an interview because he was grateful to Martin for giving him work and P100,000 in financial assistance. Martin also allegedly offered him a job as a marshal during his free days.
I only saw it now in my message requests because I became curious about the son of the late Rod Navarro. Sorry that I wasn’t able to reply immediately. Since you mentioned my name, Rod Navarro Jr., I just want to ask you something. How were you cursed at and mistreated on the set of Batang Quiapo when you messaged me because you wanted to be interviewed to thank Coco for his kindness to you)? ” Diaz wrote.
