Senator Christopher “Bong” Go emphasized the importance of fairness and due process in the face of reports he is facing an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court in connection with the previous administration’s war on drugs.

“It’s important that everything goes through the proper process and is handled fairly. I am not afraid because I have done nothing wrong. That is why I am here today — because I am innocent,” Go said in an interview on Wednesday.

He said his presence in the Senate is in fulfillment of his duties and service to the Filipino people.

“I am here in the Senate today to report and to work. This is the duty I swore to uphold as a senator and I will not waste the trust given to me by 27 million Filipinos. Throughout my career, I have maintained the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and dedication to the welfare of our people,” he said.
