Actress and beauty queen Michelle Dee on Monday filed a complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against online influencer Xian Gaza and several Facebook pages for spreading false information about her, according to her.
Dee sued Gaza for cyberlibel, which stemmed from Facebook posts by him.
Dee alleged that the influencer circulated misleading claims and allegations being spread against her were lies.
Among her complaints were Facebook pages, with one of them claiming she fled the country and was already in another nation.
She emphasized that being a public figure should not be an excuse to taint her name through false information.
Gaza's posts referred to a previous incident involving Dee, actress Rhian Ramos, and beauty queen Samantha Panlilio, who were accused of confronting Ramos’ driver over the alleged theft of an “angpao” reportedly containing sensitive photographs.
