Transportation officials on Monday suspended the license of a tuk-tuk driver caught on video colliding with a motorcycle and attempting to flee the scene last week in Pasay City.

The Department of Transportation (DoTr) confirmed that the driver, identified as Hasanor Manalao, has been placed under a 90-day preventive suspension. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) also issued a show cause order requiring Manalao to explain his actions during the 7 February incident.

A viral three-minute video of the collision shows the tuk-tuk making contact with a motorcycle, sending both the rider and a passenger onto the pavement. Following the impact, Manalao is seen attempting to drive away with passengers still in his backseat as other motorcyclists give chase.

Witnesses eventually cornered the vehicle along F.B. Harrison Street, where the tuk-tuk’s passengers disembarked and the pursuing riders confronted the driver.
