Man arrested for possession of multiple firearms, ammo in Balanga City

Authorities arrested a man and confiscated multiple firearms and ammunition in his possession after police conducted an intelligence-driven operation at Manalaotao St., Brgy. Cupang Proper, Balanga City on 16 February 2026.

According to Bataan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) Provincial Director Police Col. Marites A. Salvadora, the operation is part of the Philippine National Police’s intensified campaign against loose firearms.

She added that joint operatives from the Balanga City Police Station, Bataan Police Intelligence Unit, and PNP Special Action Force 2nd Special Action Battalion implemented a search warrant that resulted in the arrest of the suspect.

This also led to the confiscation of one Colt MK IV .45 caliber pistol, one magazine for .45 caliber pistol, 22 live rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, one .38 caliber revolver, four live rounds of 12-gauge ammunition, one gun holster for a .45 caliber pistol, one .22 caliber rifle Valiente, one .22 caliber rifle Sharp Innova, one red sling bag, and one brown checkered sling bag.

The arrested suspect, along with the confiscated pieces of evidence, are now under the custody of the Balanga City Police Station for proper documentation and appropriate disposition.

The suspect is facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 10591, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
