The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that it suspended the license of a tuktuk driver involved in a collision with a motorcycle rider in Pasay City on 7 February 2026.
Through a social media post on Monday afternoon, the DOTr confirmed that it had placed Hasanor Manalao’s license on a 90-day preventive suspension and issued a show‑cause order over the incident.
In the nearly three-minute video that went viral online, Manalao can be seen colliding with the motorcycle rider, causing both the driver and passenger to fall onto the road.
Following the incident, he attempted to flee the scene while concerned motorcycle drivers chased his tuktuk, which still had passengers in the back.
He was later stopped along F.B. Harrison Avenue, where his passengers got out and the motorcycle riders explained the situation.
Manalao is set to face charges of reckless driving, with a possibility of permanent license suspension for being an improper person to operate a motor vehicle if he does not comply with the Land Transportation Office’s show‑cause order.
