The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Thursday announced the arrest of a 28-year-old suspect known by the alias “Ignicris” in connection with the fatal shooting of a House of Representatives employee in June 2025.
Police Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio said the suspect was apprehended by operatives of the QCPD Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit along Bagong Buhay Avenue in Barangay Bagong Buhay 2, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
A resident of Camarin, Caloocan City, the suspect is now under CIDU custody. He has a standing warrant of arrest for murder issued by Branch 91 of the Regional Trial Court in Quezon City.
In a statement, Silvio said police will continue pursuing other individuals involved in the killing of Director Mauricio “Morrie” Pulihin.
“The successful service of the warrant against the middleman is a significant step toward justice for the victim and his family,” said the head cop.
Pulihin was shot and killed on June 15 during the celebration of his daughter’s birthday in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Police earlier arrested and charged two other suspects, identified by the aliases “Balong” and “Jason,” as accomplices in the murder.
According to the report, the victim’s family expressed gratitude to authorities and reiterated their offer of a substantial reward for the arrest of all those responsible.
