Foton San Pablo leads GRIT Awards

Foton Motor Philippines held its annual GRIT Awards on 3 February at Acea Beach Resort in Subic. Foton San Pablo earned the 2025 Dealer of the Year title.

Dealer principals and dealership teams from across the country attended the event. The company presented more than 30 awards. These covered vehicle sales and after-sales operations, including service and parts performance.

Foton San Pablo received the highest recognition of the night. Dealer Principal Ricky Tan went on stage to accept the award. The dealership secured the same title last year.

The GRIT Awards measure dealership performance across departments. Sales output remains a major factor in the evaluation. Service results and parts support also count in the final assessment. The company gave awards to teams and individuals based on department results.

LEVY Santos, FMPI general manager, speaks before the dealer network at the 2025 Foton GRIT Awards night.

Foton Motor Philippines Chairman Rommel Sytin said the brand ranks among the country’s top commercial vehicle and truck names because of its dealer network. He said the company depends on dealer commitment to sustain its position in the market.

“The GRIT Awards rightfully put the spotlight on our top-performing dealers and dealership staff. As one of the country’s Top 3 commercial vehicle and truck brands, Foton would not be where it is today without the commitment, dedication, and hard work of our dealers,” Rommel Sytin said.

Foton Motor Philippines general manager Levy Santos said 2025 brought pressure to the automotive sector. He said the network responded by working toward its targets and improving internal processes. He said the company will continue to raise standards in both product quality and customer support.

“We are very proud of what our dealers have accomplished for 2025. The year was a challenging one for the whole industry, but it only served to inspire us to work harder to achieve our targets. We will resolutely sustain this culture of excellence and continuous improvement. We must embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and we must never lose sight of our ultimate goal — to deliver industry-leading vehicles and service to our customers and stakeholders,” Levy Santos said.

Ricky Tan said the award belongs to his team and customers. He said the recognition reflects the effort behind the dealership’s daily operations.

The company also named other top-performing dealerships for 2025. These include Foton Quezon Avenue, Foton Iloilo, Foton Mandaue in Cebu, Foton General Santos, Foton Cagayan de Oro, Foton Baliuag, Foton Isabela, Foton La Union and Foton Zamboanga.

The awards program serves as a yearly review of network results across different regions. The company uses the event to set expectations for the months ahead as dealers work toward new sales and service goals.

Foton Motor Philippines operates under the UAAGI Auto Group. The brand maintains a nationwide dealership network that focuses on commercial vehicles and trucks.

The ceremony closed one business year for the dealer network. It also marked the start of a new sales cycle for the brand.
