Vlogger and talent manager Ogie Diaz found himself apologizing to Charo Santos after unintentionally hurting her during an acting workshop session.
“Gusto ko pong humingi ng sorry kay Ma’am Charo Santos Concio, dahil carried away lang po talaga ako (I would like to apologize to Ma’am Charo Santos Concio because I was really just carried away),” Diaz wrote on his Facebook account.
“I hope you are okay now, Ma’am Charo,” he added.
During the acting workshop, Diaz tapped Santos’ shoulder not once, not twice, but three times before the veteran actress delivered her line. On the third tap, she complained that she was hurt and reminded Diaz that she had been his boss in the past.
It was rather baffling to us why Santos had to undergo an acting workshop under Diaz, who is not known as a great actor.
This is the second time Santos has had a bad experience with Diaz. The first was during her promotional interview with Dingdong Dantes, where the vlogger-manager pranked her.
Santos’ acting workshop session was part of the promotion for her latest movie with Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo and Barbie Forteza.
From Malate to major win
A dimsum maker from Malate named Tayson proved that reading and doing research can be advantageous.
In It's Showtime's “Laro Laro Pick” segment, Tayson correctly answered a question about the total number of Philippine presidents from Emilio Aguinaldo to the present, for which he won P650,000.
When asked by Vice Ganda how he came up with the correct answer, Tayson said, “Nagre-research po kasi lagi ako. Gusto ko po talaga manalo rito (I always do research. I really want to win here).”
Vice Ganda underscored the importance of doing research in preparation for a competition.
“Malaking bagay ang pagsasaliksik. Ang mga karagdagang kaalaman natin mula sa pagsasaliksik ay maaaring magbigay sa atin ng magandang pagkakataon, katulad ngayon. Hindi siya nagse-settle sa alam niya lang. Nagre-research siya at ’yung pagre-research niya at ’yung karagdagang kaalaman niya ang nagbitbit sa kanya rito at magpapauwi sa kanya ng P650,000 (Doing research is important. The additional knowledge we gain from research can give us good opportunities, just like now. He did not settle for what he already knew. His research and additional knowledge brought him here and will send him home with P650,000),” Vice Ganda said.
