When Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca stepped back into the house of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition, it wasn’t just a visit—it was a full-circle moment.
Now returning as house guests for the show’s latest chapter, the fan-favorite duo known as BreKa found themselves once again face-to-face with Kuya, reliving the place where their dreams first took shape.
Inside the confession room, emotions quickly surfaced.
“Okay na okay, Kuya. Sobrang okay,” Brent said, smiling as he reflected on life after winning.
“After naming lumabas ng bahay, sobrang nagbago ang buhay namin,” Mika added softly.
Winning the competition opened doors the pair once only imagined. From endorsements and performances to creative projects, their schedules have been filled with new challenges—and new responsibilities.
“You molded us, Kuya,” Mika shared.
“Inihanda mo kami para sa haharapin namin sa labas,” Brent added.
Mika revealed how she has explored songwriting and even released a children’s book, while Brent focused on sharpening his craft in acting and hosting. Together, they have embraced opportunities that stretch far beyond the walls of the house.
BreKa’s journey has also taken them into major film and television projects. They recently starred in the movie Call Me Mother alongside Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre.
They are also currently filming the upcoming series The Secrets of Hotel 88, marking their first major project as a tandem.
“May sarili na po kaming teleserye, Kuya,” Mika said, her voice trembling with pride.
One of the most touching moments came when Mika talked about her music—specifically the time her own song was used to wake up housemates.
“Kuya, may bago rin akong kanta. Pangarap ko lang dati na sana one day, kanta ko ang gigising sa housemates,” she said.
“Today, ginising sila ng kanta ko.”
For Mika, it was proof that dreams whispered inside the house can one day echo far beyond it.
Despite their success, returning to Kuya’s home reminded them of simpler days—when life felt protected and hopeful.
“Sabi ko hindi ako iiyak, Kuya, pero sobra kitang na-miss at ’yung bahay mo,” Mika confessed.
“I miss the comfort of your house… protektado kami ng gate mo. Ngayon, nakikipaglaban na kami sa labas,” she added, fighting back tears.
The house, once their training ground, remains their emotional anchor.
Brent summed up their journey with quiet sincerity.
“Lahat ng ginawa namin is also to make you proud, Kuya.”
