In a brave utterance, Palace press officer Undersecretary Claire Castro hit former Palace mouthpiece Harry Roque, a fake news peddler, after he posted a photo of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. with a “square” image on his left thigh, seemingly a colostomy bag.
Roque said the rumors are untrue, which ruin the reputation of the President and the government, affecting the economy.
“Kung manggagaling lamang din po kay Harry Roque na masasabi na nating isang fake news peddler, nakita naman po natin ang video, yung kabuuan kung saan itinaas pa po mismo ng Pangulo ang kanyang mga kamay nung sya po ay kumakaway sa ating mga kababayan,” she said in a Palace briefing on Wednesday.
A colostomy bag collects waste (stool) from the body after surgery creates a new opening (stoma) in the abdomen, diverting the end of the colon, and is used temporarily to let the bowel heal or permanently for conditions like cancer or severe disease, allowing waste to exit into the pouch instead of the anus.
“Kitang kita po na ang sinasabing larawan o ipinakitang larawan ni Harry Roque ay pawang kasinungalingan lamang,” the Palace press officer stressed.
She then urged the public not to believe those rumors or lies.
“Nakikiusap po tayo, huwag na po nating dalhin sa anumang usapan ang mga fake news peddlers katulad ni Harry Roque,” she said.
Marcos Jr., since last week, started attending presidential functions after suffering from diverticulitis.
