CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police arrested two high-value drug suspects and seized more than P855,000 worth of high-grade marijuana during an early morning buy-bust operation Tuesday in Barangay New Cabalan.

The joint operation, conducted at approximately 3:35 a.m. along Limbas Street, led to the confiscation of “Kush” — a potent variety of high-grade marijuana — and standard marijuana, according to reports from Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3).

Personnel from the Olongapo City Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Police Station 4 recovered seven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing roughly 490 grams of Kush, valued at an estimated P735,000.

Additionally, officers seized one kilogram of standard marijuana worth P120,000 and the marked buy-bust money.

PRO3 regional director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. said the suspects have been classified as newly identified high-value individuals. He described the operation as a result of an intensified intelligence-driven campaign to prevent narcotics from reaching local neighborhoods.

“This haul is a testament to our ongoing efforts to secure our communities,” Peñones said.

The two suspects are in police custody and face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. PRO3 officials stated they will continue to escalate anti-illegal drug operations across Central Luzon.
