The 26th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival is set to take flight from 13 to 15 February 2026, offering a Valentine’s week getaway blending aviation, technology, and live entertainment.
Returning to New Clark City, the festival carries the theme “A Weekend of Everything That Flies,” featuring hot air balloons, aerial sports, drone racing, and nighttime spectacles.
“What we wanted to do with this event was show what good planning and governance can achieve. From the start, New Clark City was developed to be a livable, functional space that people can actually use and return to. We hope that Filipinos can look at it as a space for sport and leisure long after this festival,” said Jake Bingcang, president and CEO of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority.
Daily activities begin as early as 6:30 a.m., with aviation seminars, aerial sports exhibitions, and drone racing demonstrations running throughout the day.
Highlights include the Paragliding Accuracy Competition, FPV drone races, drone soccer, and a demonstration of the Kyxz hoverbike, combining sports and emerging technology.
At night, illuminated hot air balloons will serve as the backdrop for concerts, drone light shows, and fireworks displays.
On 14 February, couples can opt for a Valentine’s dinner priced at P1,800 per person, featuring a live band and views of glowing hot air balloons.
Tickets are available on-site and in advance through HelixPay, SM Tickets, and Klook, priced at P750 for general admission, P1,000 for general admission with aviation seminar access, and P8,500 for VIP passes.
