Leyte Representative Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez called on members of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats on Tuesday to unite and aggressively pursue the priority legislative agenda of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Romualdez emphasized the importance of a close partnership with leaders of all political parties in the House of Representatives to ensure the administration’s goals are met.

He cited that the chamber, under the leadership of Speaker Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III, is currently prioritizing measures endorsed by the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council.

Unity, discipline and cross-party cooperation are essential for translating the President’s agenda into law, Romualdez told party members.

“As legislators, our foremost responsibility is to pass laws that directly improve the lives of our people,” Romualdez said. “Lakas-CMD is fully committed to supporting the president’s legislative priorities and to working constructively with Speaker Bojie Dy and all party leaders in the House.”

Romualdez also highlighted the coordination between House leadership and the majority bloc, led by House Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” A. Marcos. He described this cooperation as critical for the efficient passage of priority bills.

The Leyte representative said he remains focused on substantive lawmaking aimed at promoting inclusive growth and protecting public welfare.

“With limited time and a heavy workload, what matters most is that we stay focused on legislation that delivers real, tangible benefits to Filipinos,” Romualdez said. “This is how we help shape the enduring legacy of this administration.”
