The Candelaria District Hospital has opened registration for beneficiaries of the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) in Zambales, the provincial government announced.

According to the provincial government, Zambaleños who wish to avail themselves of PhilHealth benefits under YAKAP may proceed directly to the Candelaria District Hospital or the YAKAP Konsulta Department, where staff will assist them in processing their registration.

Prospective beneficiaries are required to bring valid or government-issued identification and a PhilHealth ID.

The provincial government said registration may also be done online through the eGovPH app. Applicants only need to download the app, access the PhilHealth portal, select a YAKAP provider and check their registration status.

For further assistance and information, beneficiaries may also visit the Sta. Cruz District Hospital, San Marcelino District Hospital and the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital, all of which serve as primary hospitals in the province.

“Ang programang ito ay handog ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Zambales sa pakikipagtulungan ng PhilHealth,” Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. said.

YAKAP is an enhanced primary care package that succeeds the Konsulta program. It provides free and accessible checkups, diagnostic services and essential medicines, covering up to 75 types, for PhilHealth members and their dependents.

The program offers up to P20,000 in annual benefits, covering medical consultations and cancer screenings, with the aim of promoting early disease detection and reducing out-of-pocket health expenses.
