‘Project Loki’ brings campus mystery to streaming

By the time the first mystery unfolds at Clark University, viewers quickly realize that Project Loki is more than another campus drama. It is a carefully crafted blend of suspense, youth, and emotional intrigue — drawn from a story that once lived on phone screens and late-night reading sessions.

With more than 93 million reads on Wattpad, the novel by Rheinlander C. Musni, known online as AkoSiIbarra, now makes the leap to television as a full-fledged series streaming on Viva One and CignalPlay starting 21 February 2026.

A story born from secrets

At the heart of Project Loki are Lorelei and Loki — two sharp young minds drawn together by unanswered questions, hidden motives, and a string of unsettling crimes.

Played by Jayda Avanzado and Dylan Menor, the pair joins the elite QED Club, a student group determined to uncover the truth behind Clark University’s darkest corners.

As each case deepens, alliances are tested and secrets surface, particularly with the arrival of Loki’s older brother, Luthor, portrayed by Marco Gallo.

Together with Jamie and Alistair — played by Yumi Garcia and Martin Venegas — the group forms a volatile mix where logic, emotion, and instinct collide.

‘We will give justice to this story’

Behind the camera is director Xian Lim, who described the project as both a responsibility and a passion.

“We will do to the best of our abilities… we will give justice to this series… masterpiece na ginawa ni Akosiibarra.”

From the earliest stages, Lim worked closely with the original author to ensure the adaptation stayed faithful to its source material.

AkoSiIbarra underscored that collaboration.

“Talagang binabantayan namin hindi lang yung visuals nila… pero yung pinakaimportante ay kung paano sila magsalita, manamit, at kumilos.”

He also reassured longtime readers.

“Kung ano yung nabasa niyo sa book, malapit doon o yung mismo ang inaabangan ninyo sa adaptation na ito.”

Finding themselves in their characters

For the cast, Project Loki offered space to explore new dimensions of their craft.

Avanzado, who plays Lorelei, highlighted the show’s emotional and romantic layers.

“Something unique about Project Loki is, even though may kaunting ‘delulu’ moments, natutuwa ako sa mga shippers ng ‘Loreki’ at ‘Lorethor,’ so excited ako to play up those scenes.”

Menor, meanwhile, found strong parallels with his character.

“Lumalabas din yung pagiging nonchalant ko, pagiging mysterious… yun yung pwede kong paghugutan para ma-portray ko nang maayos si Loki.”

Gallo admitted that portraying Luthor pushed him beyond familiar territory.

“I’m excited to do it, but I’m scared at the same time… you’re dipping your feet into new waters.”

A cast ready to surprise

Beyond the core group, the series is anchored by a strong supporting ensemble, including Candy Pangilinan, Jao Mapa, Joanna Lara, Kurt Delos Reyes, Ashley Diaz, and Love Yauco.

Garcia teased her unpredictable role as Jamie.

“You will love me, hate me… and love me again. But one thing’s for sure, you will never forget me.”

Venegas reflected on his genre shift.

“Yung transition from romcom to thriller nakaka-pressure… pero excited ako kasi mystery na ito. It’s very exciting.”

From digital pages to weekly thrills

Produced by Studio Viva and MQuest Ventures in partnership with Cignal and Webtoon Productions, Project Loki promises tightly written episodes packed with twists, red herrings, and emotional payoffs.

Each Saturday brings a new chapter — inviting viewers to solve the mystery alongside the QED Club.

A new era for Wattpad adaptations

More than a mystery series, Project Loki reflects the growing power of Filipino digital storytelling. What once thrived in comment sections and fan threads is now transformed into cinematic suspense without losing its core.

As 21 February approaches, one thing is clear: this is not just a story about solving crimes.

It is about friendships tested by fear, truths hidden behind charm, and young minds brave enough to ask the questions no one else will.

And once the first clue is revealed, there may be no turning back.
