The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority  officially launched its TESDA Skills Passport, a mobile-first, digital solution designed to streamline training, certifications, employment, and scholarship services for Filipinos.

No less than President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. unveiled the TESDA Skills Passport mobile app, who, in his speech, stressed that his administration will continue to expand scholarships and skills training programs, noting that nearly P20 billion has been allocated to TESDA in 2026, the largest budget in the agency’s history.

“Through the TESDA Skills Passport, we will have an all-in-one digital platform. You can see important information regarding TESDA trainees, scholarships, employment opportunities, TESDA-accredited training institutions, and TESDA online training courses,” Marcos said during the launch at the Makabagong San Juan National Government Center in San Juan on Thursday.

The TESDA Skills Passport will allow users to plan their training, study online, and apply for scholarships through a single platform.

Digital storage

“For our TESDA scholars, you will have your own digital storage that would prove that your National Certificate and training are authentic,” President Marcos said, adding that the app also features an AI assistant available to respond to users’ queries at any time.

The app also serves as a job portal that will connect TESDA-certified individuals with employers and industry partners nationwide, according to the President.

President Marcos assured the public that the TESDA Skills Passport mobile app is secure and that all user data and credentials are protected.

Comprehensive digital platform

The TESDA Skills Passport is a comprehensive digital platform designed to integrate learning, certification, employment, and scholarship services. It allows users to build verified digital identities, track progress, find opportunities, and access government support easily.

It is designed and will be maintained by the TESDA Information and Communication Technology Office. The TESDA Skills Passport Mobile App is now available and can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices.

For his part, TESDA director general Kiko Benitez introduced the app as part of TESDA’s initiative to modernize technical-vocational education and training and improve access to skills development for Filipino learners and workers.
