It’s ‘Miller Time’ for La Salle

Filipino-American playmaker Janti Miller finally made up his mind, announcing that he will join De La Salle University in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).

The 22-year-old Miller made his announcement on social media, saying that joining the Green Archers will realize his dream of seeing action in the UAAP starting Season 90 next year.

Although he has to sit out for one season, it doesn’t matter as the Fairfield, California native really wanted to play in the UAAP, something which he first revealed after leading San Beda University to the title of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Season 101.

In fact, Miller was so determined to suit up for the Green Archers that he was spotted in the La Salle gallery during Game 2 of their UAAP Season 88 best-of-three finals series against University of the Philippines, further fueling the flame of his looming transfer to Taft Avenue.

“I wanna thank everyone who has been supportive and professional in the process. Unfortunately, with recent understanding of the timing of San Beda joining the UAAP, I have decided to transfer,” said Miller, who averaged 19.77 points, 6.08 rebounds, and 1.15 assists in the elimination round in his rookie season.

“I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else but I refuse to play in the NCAA league.”

Miller is the third San Beda star who decided to join La Salle after Evan Nelle in 2020 and Jacob Cortez in 2024.

Nelle would eventually win a title with La Salle in 2023 while Cortez clinched the UAAP championship last year.
