NAVOTAS CITY, Metro Manila — Therma Mobile, Inc., a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower), was named the top real property taxpayer in Navotas City for the ninth consecutive year, highlighting its sustained contribution to local revenues and community development. The company also ranked 11th among the city’s top local business taxpayers.
The recognition was conferred during the 119th Navotas Day celebration, where Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco and Vice Mayor Tito Sanchez presented the award to AboitizPower Transition Business Group Regional Chief Operating Officer Lito Morta and Assistant Vice President for Corporate Services Lou Deligencia.
Morta thanked the city government for the recognition, underscoring Therma Mobile’s commitment to responsible corporate citizenship and its role in supporting economic growth and social development.
Therma Mobile operates four barge-mounted, oil-fired power plants located at the Navotas Fishport Complex in Manila, serving as an ancillary service provider with an installed capacity of 241 megawatts. The company also supports local communities through corporate social responsibility initiatives, including medical missions, livelihood assistance, education programs, and disaster relief efforts.
The latest recognition adds to a series of honors received by AboitizPower and its subsidiaries over the past year.
Its renewable energy arm, Aboitiz Renewables, Inc. (ARI), earned multiple citations at the 20th Energy Safety, Health, and Environment Conference organized by the Safety and Health Association of the Philippines Energy Sector (SHAPES) and the Department of Energy.
Five ARI facilities—including the Tiwi Geothermal Plant, Makban Geothermal Plant, San Carlos Sun Power, Hedcor Sibulan, and Hedcor Bukidnon—were recognized for achieving sustained “Zero Lost Time Incidents,” reflecting long-term safety performance across operations. Several Aboitiz Renewables personnel were also honored as Outstanding Safety and Health Professionals during the conference.
These recognitions underscore AboitizPower’s continuing focus on operational excellence, workplace safety, sustainability, and responsible energy development alongside its contributions to host communities nationwide.
