The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has ordered the suspension of operations at an unlicensed care facility managed by vlogger Benjie Perillo, also known online as BenchTV, following an inspection early Thursday morning, 29 January, in Barangay Landayan, San Pedro.

The inspection was conducted by the DSWD Standards Bureau in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office and DSWD Field Office 4A (CALABARZON). Barangay officials and local police were present to ensure transparency during the operation.

Twelve individuals were found at the facility, including two minors. Six people, including the two minors, were transferred to DSWD custody to ensure proper care and supervision.

The City Health Office conducted medical assessments for all residents, while social workers carried out profiling and case management. DSWD confirmed that all beneficiaries received assistance from licensed social workers and were formally referred to receiving officers for continuity of care.

The agency also provided technical guidance to Perillo on the steps necessary to secure a Certificate of Registration and a License to Operate, emphasizing compliance with existing regulations to ensure the safety and welfare of residents.
