AboitizPower, through its private limited partnerships GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD), conducted its first Project SAYSAY+ for the year, extending assistance to three day care centers in Barangay Batangas II, Mariveles, on 28 January 2026.

Project SAYSAY+ is an employee-led corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative primarily driven by GMEC and GNPD in Bataan. Dubbed a “Plant-a-love” program, it allows monthly birthday celebrants among employees to choose a community group to spend their birthday with, often through outreach and assistance activities.

According to Reputation and Stakeholder Management (RSM) Manager Jeps Mendoza, around 50 students from the three day care centers benefited from a child-centered outreach activity aimed at promoting early learning, environmental awareness, and overall well-being.

Mendoza said the children took part in activities such as storytelling, safety orientation, an information, education, and communication (IEC) session on zero waste and proper waste disposal, a “turn waste to art” activity, and gift-giving, providing a fun and educational experience for young learners.

“To support their health and daily needs, vitamins, hygiene kits, tumblers, baon snacks, and meals were also distributed to the beneficiaries. This initiative was made possible through the dedication of our eight employee volunteers, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Mariveles and Rotaractors,” he added.

“Through Project SAYSAY+, we continue to create safe, meaningful, and impactful experiences for children—because every lesson shared today helps shape a better tomorrow.”
