Former Spandau Ballet singer Ross Davidson, also known by his stage name Ross Wild, has been found guilty of rape and attempted rape.

The 37-year-old Davidson performed with the 1980s band Spandau Ballet in 2018 and also starred in the Queen-themed West End musical We Will Rock You.

He had pleaded not guilty to charges involving the rape of a woman in London in March 2015, as well as attempted rape and sexual assault against another woman in Thailand in 2019.

Davidson met both women through the dating app Tinder and claimed that the sexual encounters were consensual.

The London victim told the jury that Davidson raped her while she was sleeping, leaving her feeling “helpless.” She also testified that the singer told her he was interested in sexual activity involving “a person in a helpless state, someone not moving.”

Authorities also found a video on his phone showing another woman in Thailand being touched while she was asleep.

Davidson pleaded guilty to a charge of voyeurism but denied the sexual assault and attempted rape allegations.

However, the court found him guilty of rape and two counts of sexual assault, as well as voyeurism.
