Speaker Faustino Dy III urged his colleagues in the House of Representatives to set aside divisive politics and focus their time and energy on public service and delivering meaningful results for the Filipino people.

In his speech during the reopening of the House session, Dy reminded fellow lawmakers that their true accountability is to the public.

“Let us put our sttenght, time and ability to improve the ante of our service for the people and craft bills that are needed, laws that are not only good on paper, but will be felt by every Filipino Family,” said Dy.

“Because in the end the people will judge us not with our speeches but what we have done for them,” Dy added.

The Speaker from Isabela emphasized that political differences should never supersede the higher duty of public service.

“My colleagues, time will come that our insights differ in politics. But I urged all of you to staty united to a more higher purpose, to truly serve the Filipino people,” said Dy.

“Kaya ngayon, isantabi natin ang pamumulitika na naghahati at yakapin ang pulitikang nagbubuklod,” Dy stressed.

The House chief said trust in government is built through action, not rhetoric.

“I firmly believe that trust is not demanded—it is earned. At araw-araw po natin itong kailangang patunayan: sa mabilis na aksyon, sa matuwid na pagpapasya, at sa mga programang may malinaw na resulta,” he said.

House members were also called on by Dy to make full use of their time and sessions, stressing the urgency of legislative work.

He said that as days pass, time becomes more important, and that every session and every decision matter—adding that no time should be wasted.

“Let us do our job and help one another—not for our personal interests but for the betterment of the next generation,” said Dy.
