The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) showcased the Philippines’ investment potential to Japanese companies at the Athletics Stadium in New Clark City on 23 January.

During the BCDA-Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) Project Pitching event, BCDA and its subsidiaries highlighted ongoing and upcoming projects that are open for collaboration. Joining the pitch were representatives from the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), John Hay Management Corporation, and Poro Point Management Corporation.

“CIAC fully supports BCDA’s efforts to strengthen collaboration with Japanese companies, facilitate project partnerships, and identify viable investment opportunities within the Clark Aviation Capital,” said CIAC president and CEO Jojit Alcazar. “Our goal is to create business opportunities that generate jobs and improve the quality of life for Filipinos.”

Japanese companies in attendance specialize in a wide range of sectors — from water and wastewater treatment, infrastructure, and industrial park development, to IT solutions for public safety, smart transportation, energy transition, agriculture, and Public-Private Partnerships.

The pitching event comes after a recently signed memorandum of understanding between BCDA and JBIC, aimed at strengthening cooperation in promoting BCDA projects that focus on energy transition, environmental and social sustainability, and quality infrastructure.

CIAC’s chief business development officer Melissa Feliciano presented flagship projects ready for investment, including the Clark National Food Hub, Urban Renewal & Heritage Conservation Program, Clark International Aviation Campus, and Clark Pharmaceutical Hub.
