Authorities apprehended a 45-year-old overseas Filipino worker at NAIA Terminal 3 following the joint implementation of a standing warrant of arrest for syndicated illegal recruitment on Friday night.
A Hongkong-bound male OFW was intercepted at the departure area after the Bureau of Immigration personnel detected an active warrant issued by a regional trial court in Mindanao for the crime of syndicated illegal recruitment, with no bail recommended.
The alert immediately prompted coordination with the NAIA Police Station 3 for verification and appropriate action.
The suspect, who was attempting to depart the country on an international flight, is now under the custody of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Manila District Field Unit, for documentation and proper disposition.
