Three high-value individuals were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Plaza Aldea, Tanay, Rizal on Saturday night, 24 January.
The arrested suspects were identified by their aliases as Tatay, 38, a resident of San Mateo; Tisoy, 42, a resident of Binangonan; and Boying, 45, a resident of Tanay.
Authorities seized from the suspects seven packs containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 146.5 grams, with an estimated standard drug price value of P996,200.
Also recovered during the operation were the buy-bust and recovered money, including two pieces of P1,000 bills used as marked money, five pieces of boodle money, one piece of P1,000 bill, one piece of P500 bill, and one cellphone unit.
The arrested suspects are currently detained at the custodial facility of the Tanay Municipal Police Station.
The confiscated evidence will be brought to the PNP Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory examination, while the necessary documents are being prepared for the filing of charges for violations of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which will be filed before the Office of the Rizal Provincial Prosecutor in Taytay.
