President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has proclaimed special non-working days in five areas nationwide for January and February 2026.
Marcos, via Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, signed individual proclamations declaring special non-working days in one province, two cities, and two municipalities, an advisory on Saturday afternoon.
Cadiz City in Negros Occidental will observe a non-working day on 26 January for the 52nd Dinagsa Festival, as declared under Proclamation 1143.
Ilocos Norte will also have a non-working day on 2 February in celebration of its 208th Founding Anniversary, pursuant to Proclamation 1147.
Meanwhile, Biñan City will mark its 81st Liberation Day with a non-working day on 3 February under Proclamation 1144.
Buug town in Zamboanga Sibugay will likewise observe a non-working day for its founding anniversary and the BOG Festival, as declared in Proclamation 1145.
Lastly, Sarrat, Ilocos Norte will have a non-working day on 28 February for its Founding Anniversary under Proclamation 1146.
