Long before diamonds became her daily language, Christine Deo was already captivated by jewelry in the most unlikely places. Growing up in Iligan, her fascination did not begin in luxury boutiques but in pawnshop displays. “Hilig ko talagang tumingin ng alahas sa mga pawnshop noon—doon nagsimula lahat,” she recalled, describing a curiosity that quietly shaped her future.
Her entrepreneurial path zigzagged through various ventures before circling back to what truly pulled her in. “Marami rin akong sinubukan—piggery, farming, skin clinics—pero dito talaga ako hinihila pabalik,” she said of the diamond trade. The turning point came with a modest beginning. “Bumili lang ako ng papel de agencia worth 900 pesos, nagkaroon ng bracelet, at doon na tuloy-tuloy.”
Even a devastating setback failed to derail her resolve. “Na-scam ako—halos 100 million ang nawala sa akin,” she shared matter-of-factly. Instead of retreating, she chose to move forward. “Bangon lang ulit.”
Today, that resilience defines both her brand and reputation. “Wala akong filter—kung ano ako, eto talaga ako,” she said, a candid approach that has earned trust and helped build a jewelry business spanning physical stores, live-selling platforms and international showcases. For Deo, success is not inherited or borrowed, but forged through persistence, honesty and grit.
