his Valentine’s season, let your heart find its rhythm once more as National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab returns to the stage with Love Letters, from 13 to 15 February, at the Proscenium Theater in Rockwell.

In the second chapter of his Maestro Class series, he woos and serenades audiences with Love Letters, exploring love in all its forms as expressed through the songs of iconic Filipino composers George Canseco, Jose Mari Chan, and Willy Cruz. The Valentine’s show is a tribute to the timeless works of these revered songwriters, whose compositions defined the golden era of OPM and remain the melodies we recall when we speak of enduring love.

To bring these songs to life on stage, Mr. C chose not just singers but voices that redefined Filipino love songs over the past few decades. Basil Valdez is the rich, soulful voice behind OPM’s most enduring ballads, such as “Kastilyong Buhangin,” “Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan” and “Tuwing Umuulan at Kapiling Ka.”

Joining him is the incomparable Celeste Legaspi, a respected singer, actress, and cultural advocate known for her elegant interpretations and deep contributions to Filipino culture. Rounding out the trio is Ogie Alcasid, the multi-awarded singer-songwriter who brings warmth and storytelling to the stage with beloved classics such as “Kailangan Kita,” “Kahit Na” and “Sinasamba Kita.”

Led by Ryan Cayabyab, Love Letters, presented by Rockwell, takes audiences on a carefully curated journey through the compositions of Canseco, Chan and Cruz. From songs that define first and forever love to melodies that have endured through time, the show celebrates human connection through music.
