The Department of Tourism (DOT) has awarded the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) with the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Government Partner Award during a ceremony at the Clark Visitors Center in Clark Freeport on 22 January 2026.
CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera received the award from DOT Region 3 Director Richard Daenos, who cited the agency’s efforts in strengthening service standards across Clark Freeport.
Daenos said CDC’s sustained rollout of FBSE practices has reinforced a customer-focused culture in the Freeport while supporting tourism development initiatives in Central Luzon.
“This is not just any other partnership award; it’s actually outstanding service excellence infused with Filipino hospitality and cultural values. So, it is not just given to all,” Daenos said. “Clark has been very keen on improving how Filipino values are highlighted across different services.”
He added that the DOT values its partnership with CDC, particularly its commitment to embedding Filipino values into service delivery.
CDC continues to expand FBSE-aligned efforts by streamlining frontline processes, upgrading visitor-facing facilities, and encouraging service excellence among locators and tourism establishments within Clark.
Several Clark-based establishments—including Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort, Swissôtel Clark, and Royce Hotel and Casino—also received FBSE citations, reflecting broader improvements in service alignment within the Freeport’s leisure and hospitality sector.
The award adds to CDC’s growing list of tourism distinctions. Clark Freeport was recently named Asia’s Leading Meetings and Conference Destination at the World Travel Awards, underscoring its position as a competitive hub for business events.
Tourism stakeholders have likewise recognized CDC for managing open spaces, cultural attractions, and integrated facilities that support both leisure travel and the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions market, positioning Clark as one of the region’s dynamic tourism corridors.
