‘Percabeth’ scene teases Percy Jackson season three

Just when fans thought the season two finale was it, Percy Jackson and the Olympians dropped a surprise sneak peek of the next season.

The mid-credits teaser shows Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) and Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) lingering at the sidelines of a school dance in the Westover Hall gym, with Stephen Sanchez’s “Until I Found You” playing in the background. Suddenly, Annabeth takes Percy’s hand and pulls him onto the dance floor, where they sway in the unmistakably awkward rhythm of a school slow dance.

Readers will recognize the moment as an adaptation of the first part of The Titan’s Curse. There, Grover discovers two children of Hades — Bianca and Nico di Angelo — who are being held captive. In response, Percy, Annabeth and Thalia (Tamara Smart) embark on a rescue mission, disguising themselves as students and attending the school dance as part of their plan to bring the siblings back to Camp Half-Blood.

Furthermore, Percy faces a new wave of danger when the Greek goddess Artemis goes missing during a mission to stop the rise of the Titan lord, Atlas. Along with Annabeth, Thalia and new demigod allies, he sets out on a perilous quest across the United States to rescue her.

The third season is expected to also show Percy grappling with his growing feelings for Annabeth and the weight of prophecy, while also discovering more about his own powers.

All episodes of season two are now available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
