The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) confiscated some P2-million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Calipahan, Talavera, Nueva Ecija, on 20 January 2026.

According to NEPPO Provincial Director Police Col. Heryl Bruno, the said operation was led by the Talavera Municipal Police Station (MPS), which led to the arrest of three high value individuals (HVIs).

With the coordination of the Provincial Intelligence Unit-NEPPO, the three female suspects were known to be aged 38, 25, and 53. Two of the arrested individuals are residents of Payatas, Quezon City, while one is from General Tinio, Nueva Ecija.

The arrest stemmed from the sale of one plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for one P1,000.00 bill as marked money and eight P1,000.00 boodle bills.

A subsequent search resulted in the recovery of seven additional plastic sachets of shabu, with a total weight of 300grms, having a DDB value of P2,040,000.00.

The arrested individuals will face charges for violation of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
